The celebration on Micro, Small and Medium-Size enterprise’s day (MSME) took place on 02 July 2019, at Donchan Palace Hotel, Vientiane Capital. The event was chaired by H.E Mrs. Khemmani Pholsena, Minister of Industry and Commerce, with the key participants such as: Dr. Thunsamai Kommasith, Minister of Post and Telecommunications and Mr. Daovone Phachanthavong, Vice president of Lao National Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and 250 distinguished guests from line ministries, private sectors and organizations were also actively attended to the said event.

The celebration on Micro, Small and Medium-Size enterprise’s day (MSME) took place on 02 July 2019, at Donchan Palace Hotel, Vientiane Capital. The event was chaired by H.E Mrs. Khemmani Pholsena, Minister of Industry and Commerce, with the key participants such as: Dr. Thunsamai Kommasith, Minister of Post and Telecommunications and Mr. Daovone Phachanthavong, Vice president of Lao National Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and 250 distinguished guests from line ministries, private sectors and organizations were also actively attended to the said event.

The purpose of this cerebration was to make all stakeholders and society acknowledge and understand about the role and the importance of MSES in contributing to social development by creating job opportunities and enhancing the living conditions of communities across the world. At the event, there were various exhibition booths from government and private sectors to disseminate on the importance of technology in the digital era, including the opportunities and challenges of e-commerce in MSES. In this regard, the LSP management team was also a part of contributing to the dissemination of LSP to be widely recognized in the society.

Mrs. Khemmani said that MSES cover 99.8% of the total business units in Lao PDR, which create job opportunities over 82% of the labor force in economic sectors.

This cerebration provides all parties the opportunity to build the solidarity and the co-operation in encouraging the MSME of Lao PDR to grow and to achieve the sustainable development goals.
